Founder Chairman and his Leadership
Sundarban Courier Service Pvt. Limited has been playing a leading role in these service activities of courier and parcel since its inception
in 1983. The Founder, Chairman Imamul Kabir Shanto, has led the effective development and establishment of courier service in Bangladesh and
the name of Sundarban is known to everyone due to this.
His leadership in creating awareness has helped this country drastically. Mr. Imamul Kabir Shanto is one of the Valiant Freedom Fighters of
Bangladesh’s Liberation War of 1971 and with his exposure he saw the need to help develop and contribute to the development of Bangladesh by
providing multiple forms of services for the employment of the many to engage in and for the affordability of the mass to avail. Accordingly
he focused on both development activities as well as services that may help to enhance the Country’s growth from a diverse perspective.
He is also founding president of the Courier Services Association of Bangladesh. In recognition of the contribution made by him and for
providing leadership to the courier service in this Country, the postal department of the Bangladesh Government took this opportunity to
honor him as a Legend of Courier.
It was not easy to establish the services of courier and goods transport so quickly, and at the expected pace of service delivery sought,
yet under the Chairman’s guidance Sundarban Courier Service established this service sector by overcoming all barriers and obstacles despite
the challenges. As a result, the service has become popular and has become a vital service to everyone. He is of the belief that diversification
and the embracement of more and more services is the secret to the success and the growth and the longevity of a company’s self-sustenance in a
market. Accordingly this has been the plan of action each and every time additional options are incorporated under his vision, guidance and
destination foresight.
